Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 lens launched for FX cameras
Nikon has introduced a new 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 lens designed for its FX-format line-up of full-frame cameras.
Highlights of the AF-S NIKKOR 18–35mm f/3.5–4.5G ED include a Silent Wave Motor for quiet, accurate autofocus, and a 100-degree angle of view.

The Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 price tag will be £669.99 / €815.00 / US$1,051 / AU$1,005, with a release date set for 7 March 2013.
Inside the new Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G lens are 12 elements in eight groups. Three aspherical lenses and two ED (extra-low dispersion) glass elements are designed to produce superior resolution and correct unwanted aberrations and distortions, Nikon says.
The optic also uses Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating to help reduce ghosting and flare.
The Nikon zoom lens is lightweight at just 385g, which should appeal to press and street photographers who are constantly on the move.
Although designed for FX format cameras, the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 is also compatible with entry level APS-C format models without a built-in autofocus motor.
Other features of the the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 include a metal mount and rubber weather-sealing for extra durability.
