The latest issue of N-Photo has now gone on sale.

Highlights of the 17th issue of the award-winning 100% Nikon 100% independent magazine include our amazing guide to getting fantastic outdoors shots – we share all the settings and lighting tips you need to get your best-ever landscapes. We also took lucky apprentice Chris Harden to Verbier in Switzerland for a masterclass in ski photography from extreme sports pro Ross Woodhall. Plus we interview another Ross, wildlife macro specialist Ross Hoddinott, on the secrets of capturing miniature worlds.

Print editions of Issue 17 went on sale today, February 14th, in the UK – and simultaneously worldwide in digital form as an app for iPad or iPhone, or through Zinio for PC, Blackberry, and Android users. Subscription copies were mailed out earlier this week.

This month’s Nikon skills are an encyclopedia of exciting projects you can get started on this weekend, including how to make a DIY softbox, how to create distorted caricature portraits with your wide angle lens and a step-by-step guide to star trails.

Other features in this festive issue include:

A guide to mastering curves in Photoshop

Reader photostories, including unusual street photography and a photographic diary of a year at the races.

Live-view explained, once and for all

We review the Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/4G ED VR

Seascape pro Jayne Odell shares her favourite bits of Nikon kit.
